The Story

I didn’t start out wanting to be a strategist. I started out wanting to make a difference, and like so many mission-driven leaders, I figured the impact would be enough. I launched Raising A Village Foundation with passion, deep community ties, and a clear vision for equity. What I didn’t have at first, were the systems, strategy, or support to scale sustainably.

I learned quickly that purpose alone isn’t enough to keep a team running, attract major funding, or respond to the ever-changing needs of the communities we serve. I hit the same walls many of you may be facing now: burnout, blurred priorities, inconsistent infrastructure, and the constant pressure to perform without a clear plan.

That experience led me to ask bigger questions, not just about my leadership, but about the sector as a whole.

Why do so many of us feel like we’re building the plane while flying it?

What would it look like to lead with clarity and intention — and not just survive, but truly thrive?

So, I became both a practitioner and a researcher. I pursued a PhD to study the systems and strategies that build long-term impact, especially for social impact leaders and organizations, both large and small. And now, I bring that combined insight, real-world experience, and deep research, to help others lead with confidence, purpose, and power.

This isn’t just what I do, it’s what I’ve lived.


And my greatest joy now is helping other leaders build what’s next with the clarity and capacity they deserve.
